ST. ANTONY’S CONVENT, MOONNUMURI

CSM sisters felt the need for religious presence to improve the quality of people’s life at Moonnumuri during their house visit. Mar George Alappatt officiated the blessing of the convent on 12th June 1970. Sisters started a tailoring center for the women of the local area to eliminate poverty through self-employment and opened a nursery school to enlighten the minds of young children. Sisters remained committed to the parish activities and recognized the need to have a centre for manufacturing hosts for the Holy Mass. It is also a formation house for Aspirants for the South Province.
